Community Services
Meals on Snowmobiles
Every winter, Ste. Anne's puts together a program to help the elderly and shut in individuals in our community. Twice a week hot meals are prepared and delivered by snowmobile with the help of the Mackinac Public School students and our many volunteers. The program is available from January through mid-March. Many thanks to Mackinac Island Community Foundation, our many donors and our volunteers who help make this program possible.
Summer Workers Meals
Each season, Mackinac Island opens its doors to thousands of summer workers representing over 150 countries from around the globe. Every Wednesday at 5:00 PM during peak summer a free meal is offered to all island workers. Local restaurants donate the food and volunteers cook and clean. In collaboration with Mackinac Connect, Mackinac Island Community Foundation and our many wonderful donors, this program is able to provide a safe place for island workers to meet and have a delicious meal every week during the summer. Next years meals will begin June 2024 we look forward to seeing all of our new and returning workers!
A special thank you to Mackinac Island Community Foundation for the grants they provided to support these programs! Learn more about everything they do at www.micf.org.
